This moody piece is based on a late afternoon photograph of a storm brewing at a local Tasmanian beach. The contrast of threatening grey skies with golden straw-coloured sand inspired an image of a Hitchcock-esque scene. A blonde reminiscent of Tippi Hedren is taking a phone call in a vintage phone booth, hair blowing in the wind, retro aqua changing hut behind...suspense, intrigue and ultimately the questions remain: who is on the other end of the line? Is someone standing behind the changing hut? Is she being pursued by someone in the distance? The seagull hovering is a nod to "The Birds" and the only thing we can be sure of...a storm is coming.
